Dolgoch Falls

Dolgoch Falls

A series of beautiful woodland waterfalls hidden in the hills above Tywyn.

Waterfall · Wales

Dolgoch Falls is a series of cascading waterfalls tucked into a steep wooded valley above the town of Tywyn on the southern edge of Eryri. Instead of a single dramatic drop, the river steps down through several rocky tiers, with moss-covered cliffs and woodland surrounding the falls. Footpaths and small bridges weave up alongside the water, revealing new angles and viewpoints as you climb.

The falls are especially impressive after rain when the cascades are at full flow. The walk between the different tiers is short but steep in places. Combine the visit with a ride on the nearby Talyllyn Railway or a drive along the quieter southern roads of Eryri.

Follow what interests you. The small detours often become the best parts of the journey.
